In the mid 80's, developer Irem released the fantastic "Moon Patrol". A game in which you drove a buggy through a lunar landscape, jumping over ditches and rocks while shooting enemies in front of you and above you. It was so popular that many of us remember its versions for Atari 2600, Vic-20, Gameboy and even Intellivision.
