It’s so hard - but so important - to retain our empathy, I feel you. And empathy doesn’t have to be unconditional, for everyone. Yes, it should be the default, but (IMO) people’s behaviour is a valid reason to mindfully withdraw empathy for those specific people.
Being a good human is complex and nuanced and (to quote Buffy) it’s hard and it’s painful and it’s every day. 😞💕 ((((hugs))))
