Stereophonica currently runs on a hardware server (Pleroma + Postgres) and a VPS (storage). That's the cost for the VPS that serves static data (S3 storage) and acts as a reverse proxy for Pleroma over a WG tunnel.
The hardware server is Ryzen 5700X with 64G of RAM and NVMe storage, but I run a buttload of stuff on it, not just Pleroma.
Also, you can lease a similar server from Hetzler for 55 euro/mo. I've no idea what Atomic is doing exactly, but he definitely is doing it wrong.
