Gender roles were survival roles. And this is why we cling to them so closely, we imagine that we can't survive without them... because that was true!

But the world changes, and the best strategy for surviving and thriving is adaptation.

It's always the best idea to take on the roles that make sense here and now.

And to be clear, when I say gender roles, I mean division of labor and not the active repression of one Gender. That is always counterproductive.
