Went to a normie Economic Outlook dinner this evening.

I was on the planning committee and tried to get LynAlden (nprofile…3tqm) on the panel, but she never responded. πŸ™

Panelists included speakers from blackrock, JPM and northern trust.

When they send the email requesting feedback on the evening, here's what I'm gonna write:

1. Food was great

2. Immensely disappointed in the caliber of the panelists. Next year please screen panelists to make sure they realize CPI is not an accurate indicator of inflation in every day life.

I felt like I was listening to a panel sponsored by the Fed ... Adamant to talk down inflation expectations by saying inflation is under control/not a concern and that wage growth was keeping pace with price rises.

...then in the next breath, one of the panelists said he couldn't afford a house in NYC... Wait....didn't he just say wages were keeping up with inflation?? ...the disconnect. πŸ˜‚

The audience questions about inflation were squashed ... didn't fit the narrative of the evening.

My question about the USD/BTC/inflation and dollar reserve status being in question was submitted online and not answered.

The elephant in the room that the panel ignored was that incessant printing of dollars has resulted in real inflation of 10+%

Next year, it would be great to have an Austrian economist and some independent thinking speakers instead of panelists towing their company talking points.

Government statistics are manipulated to present the government narrative... If I weren't on the committee, I wouldn't have spent money to listen to panelists spewing government propaganda.
