From the outside Mexico appears as an oppressed nation, and indeed it is oppressed by the USA mostly, and by Spain that owns most of the banking system and gas. But at the same time Mexico relates as an oppressed nation vis a vis imperialist countries, it keeps oppressing and erasing the diverse indigenous groups that exist within the State, as well as the small but resilient Afro-Mexican communities.
