I'm looking forward to the lecture I'm giving there next week. Happy to support initiatives that train new open-source Bitcoin devs, you're doing Satoshi's work π
Number of devs go up!
Number of devs go up!
quoting note18cyβ¦4asfπ Hello, Nostr!
Since we are new here, let us tell you more about what we are doing and how we are ππ'ing the world.
Weβre currently running the Plan βΏ Tech Schoolβan 8-week premium course for developers. Students learn from top #Bitcoin professionals, compete through assignments and the top 21 earn a spot in a week-long in person bootcamp to collaborate, network and prepare to be new Bitcoin devs! π
This week featured three really cool masterclasses:πβ¨
π οΈ First, @danielabrozzoni, Bitcoin dev, showed students how easy it can be to contribute to Bitcoin via open source.
A key takeaway from her session:π‘ Grants can empower developers with freedom to innovate, but they also bring responsibility.
β οΈ Next was Peter Todd, delivering "Bitcoin is Doomed," he unpacked technical challenges and trade-offs in Bitcoin's design.
In his session, a standout moment was one of his main concerns:
"I honestly worry about dependencies," he shared, and went deep into challenges and incentives within Bitcoin's protocol.
β‘ Then Tadge Dryja, coauthor of the Lightning Network White Paper, closed the week exploring the intricacies of scaling Bitcoin with the Lightning Network & even a masterclass on DLCs!
A not so shocking insight was that fears of legal repercussions are holding back further advancements in DLC technology.
π₯ A week packed with high-quality Bitcoin content comes to a close!
Now, it's time for the students to roll up their sleeves, apply their knowledge and keep building on their assignments.
Let's see what they create next! π»β¨
