To be sure, I reject Marxism as a philosophy and Communism as a system, for reasons articulated by Werner Sombart, Oswald Spengler, Gottfried Feder, and Kerry Bolton. But those same critiques hit neoliberal capitalism at least as hard. In practice, Communism had to adopt cultural nationalism in order to stay in power. By contrast, neoliberalism gives unlimited power to anti-national tendencies of the Trotsky type. The cultural ‘right’ thus faces a more dangerous enemy in this century than the Bolshevism of the last century.”
