I listened to RFK on Rogan yesterday and it is clear to me that vested interest within the Democarts cannot have him, even if he polls well. My base case is that dems will pull a Bernie Sanders on RFK.
Why?
He's in favor of:
1.) reducing corruption of the 3 letter agencies.
2.) ending the war mongering
2 is an expensive propositions to the warlords behind the forever wars within the "military industrial complex", an entrenched part of the incentive complex of the deep state.
1 is not gonna go down well with people who benefit from said corruption. That's the donor class which are the large funders of campaigns and include Wall Street, Pharma and all others who benefit from regulatory capture, which are many very wealthy individuals.
It's an uphill battle for him and standing for these things is what has cost his family dearly. His uncle was killed over similar ideas and so was his father.
Democrats will do everything they can so that he does not make the ticket. We can see already how he's being framed in the media.
He knows that and does podcasts instead of traditional media.
Enough to win the ticket? This could be the Trump moment for democrats. Outsider, underdog sweeps in and polls well, establishment does not like him. New media format available (trump had twitter, RFK does pods) Many parallels.
In terms of politicians, RFK and Trump are not career politicians, outsiders coming in on a mission to clean the swamp. Trump failed at that. Can RFK make a change? Maybe? I would not hold my breath.
Staying humble, stacking sats is my political strategy instead of voting.
Still, interesting to watch all this unfold
