Cats and dogs are a good example of how you can be supportive and positive of people without knowing--even understanding, at WNY level, your sexuality, your pronouns, your anything.

If you're a good person they like you. That's all that's supposed to matter. Also, using gender-neutral language is usually much easier even if you DO know everyone's gender and nobody ever transitions
