is there a way to say “I don’t care” without it sounding pejorative? there’s lots of things I don’t care about. the colour of my neighbour’s car. what other people are doing at my age. how many angels can dance on the head of a pin. this doesn’t mean that I can’t acknowledge the importance of it to someone, but it’s unimportant to me. I don’t care. that means I will not stop you, hinder you, or in any way affect you.
