A thing I think about a lot is how Google pushed and pushed and pleaded about how much they needed their domain registrar service to be able to sell .zip and .mov domains, despite everybody everywhere citing major security concerns with the very existence of such domains, got their way, and then immediately sold their Google Domains to Squarespace.
