That's mostly my age showing there. I know they're not that tied together in underlying function but my brain always tightly associates the two given the history. I suspect others in my age bracket are similar. Even if they aren't that similar, you'd think given the precious limited bus ports most things have these days it would still make sense to combine them, but development resources being so minimal is prohibitive.
