To be clear, I am not defending Mahler here, but Rosebrough misses the point: Mahler is referring to Modern Hebrew (Avrit), spoken in modern Israel. I assume from the context that he's also referring to the Hebraization of certain Christian traditions (you, Chris, also debated against Hebrew Roots. Does that mean you're at odds with Luther?)
