For the practicing scientist it might be okay, but maybe not!

For example, say you want to understand the consequences of manipulating multiple-region circuit C. Does it prevent you from parts of "state space" that are typically assiociated with major depression?

A practical solution is then to make some short term predictions (say 1-2 week out) and then collect data to ascertain the "current state", and iterate this process.

Kind of like studying the weather in very large scale models.
