Best onboard experience for teaching someone about nostr so far (even a normie former insta user) on an iphone has been yakihonne using coinos.io wallet.
Steps:
-download yakihonne , make an nsec
-download nostore , install it on safari (either on iphone or on macbook)
-go coinos.io, click nostore to allow it to sign on the counis.io website, sign in to your account on coinos.io using broader extension (nostore)
-copy nwc from coinos.io
-in yakihonne: settings—>wallet —>add wallet —> nwc
Last step is to remove all the suggestions and extra stuff in settings for yalihonne to reove the cluttered feel of this app. Thats it!
I like this set up because:
-they can now use that wallet anywhere
-they dont have to onboard sats in a wallet that is limoted by the client like the primal or yakihonne wallets
-if they want multiple accounts, they can easily switch between them on yakihonne (cant do this on damus)
-after they set this up on yalihonne, they can then easily take it all over to damus (activating zaps on damus is a but special tho, this realquires a quuck google to find out how)
Anyways, thats my 2cents, hope this halos someone.
Primal is slick but it is a bit of a dead end when you try to use a different wallet. Maybe im missing something but primal seems very closed system compared to this yakihonne / coinos.io option
Wallet of satoshi is great of course but doesnt allow for NWC right now
Of course , a noncustodial wallet would be best but im talking onboarding an instagram ios user here with no desktop and no interest in running a lightning node.
Let me know where you disageez or your experience working through the different wallets and apps!
