I have a Brazilian enby friend with a “non-binary” gender marker on their Brazilian birth certificate, and they’re looking into getting their Italian citizenship; they want to know if they’d have any issues with official documentation because of that (would they have to choose a binary gender identity in Italian documents? would they face discrimination with a birth certificate like theirs?)
