Really the main obstacle for any draft that I see is America's obesity and drug (both illegal and prescription) problems, which themselves were made by the system to make the populace weaker, well congrats retards, you succeeded with flying colors, and now the portion of the population that isn't humans from WALL-E levels of obese are on a dozen different meds with a dozen different mental disorders, each disqualifying them from service individually.
And there's really no common-sense solution to this, recruit an Adderall addicted sperg? Better add Adderall to the already strained army supply lines or the speed addict is going to either disassociate or go postal, recruit the depressed SSRI addict and watch him private pile half of his class in boot camp once he runs out.
And as for the fat problem, the army thinks they've solved that one too, and yes, fat camps with 15-30 volunteers are definitely manageable. They want to be there, they want to lose weight, and they want to serve, the motivation is there to lose that weight and get in shape. But try doing that to 600-pound draftees with eating disorders, try doing that to several hundred of them at once in thousands of classes the nation over. Spend millions and several years getting porkies into even basic fighting shape just to send them into a war that you would definitely be losing at that point, that'll work out great.
The army's main issue is not just that White males don't want to fight, its mainly that many of them physically, and/or mentally cannot.
