I guess it depends on how you go about it. Blaming doomers for doomerism is, I agree, not a good route.
Attacking the faulty "science" and shining light on the malevolent forces pushing the doomer ideology, on the other hand, is very needed.
I think it is a valid approach to trying to bring doomers back from the sidelines and into the fight, which has great value may be more achievable in the short run when 'doing something effective' is out of political reach.
