The Palestinian ministry of culture announced the death of prominent Plaestinian artist Fathi Ghaben in Gaza.

Fathi was ill and hospitalised in Al Aqsa hospital in Deir al-Balah, awaiting Israeli permission to be evacuated for treatment, as the hospital could not provide any. The permission never came.

Fathi was a self-taught artist and actively worked to teach and promote art in Gaza. He was co-founder of the Association of Palestinian artists in Gaza.
