- Just because you’re marginalized at one intersection doesn’t mean you understand what it’s like to live with other marginalized identities
- Don’t assume you have nothing to learn (this includes me FWIW, I’m far from perfect)
- Just because you don’t see racism or understand something as racist, doesn’t mean it’s not
Listening to and believing other people’s lived experiences is antifascism 101, and quite frankly, being a decent person 101. This is table stakes. If you can’t do this, stay the fuck out of anti-oppression discourse, go read a book on intersectionality, and touch grass.
