Okay, so my D&D group is finishing up with Wilds Beyond the Witchlight, so we're gearing up for our next campaign. That means I've built my next character, and good god do I adore this absolutely unhinged idiot I've made. I've got a custom mini coming and I already commissioned character art and we haven't even started yet.
So, here's the gag:
The Hero of Ages was isekai'd to her world a generation ago, and among the many powers he got, was the ability for him to keep his digital devices fully charged forever.
Well... he lost his Kindle while passing through her town.
My character found it as a preteen, and on the thing was the full run of Battle Angel Alita, Marx, and a bunch of other hard-left stuff. She read it all and was totally and completely starstruck.
But again, my character is a fucking dumbass.
She thought Battle Angel Alita was nonfiction. A historical account of the Hero of Ages' home world.
So she set out to duplicate all of the combat tech in Alita with the nearest local equivalents, to overthrow the bourgeoisie.
Now she's a young adult, has replaced 90% of her body with heavily-modified warforged tech, has figured out how to make plasma manipulation and grind cutters work from the manga, and has painted her chassis neon pink.
She's basically Lip Gloss and Lasers in human form.
I love my idiot.
