Sometimes I press "Favorite" to mean "I acknowledge this toot", rather than "I actually really like what you've tooted here".

Especially when the toot is not something which someone (well, me) would really like.

Basically, a form of acknowledgement, of feedback to the tooter that they are not tooting into the void, rather than an expression of actually likely what they've said.

But why would the tooter know that?!
