No hate, but I don't understand at all. Even when I was a conservative, I didn't hate what I didn't embrace. What's wrong with asking for tolerance? They don't want any change at all and in fact want to go back. When I was a kid in the 70s in the Southern Baptist church, it wasn't this bad. It took decades of focused right wing propaganda. Why should liberals accommodate that? The only fault I see is not knowing how to convince them ourselves in a way they can accept.
