In the midst of the #Recall crisis, I guess we all forget that if #Microsoft gets it their way, hundreds of millions of perfectly capable machines will turn into e-waste in a little more than a year.

Some of these can be turned into #Linux desktops of course, but most will likely be in the hands of a "clueless consumer". The message they receive from "trusted advisors" is to buy a new one.

How can governments sit back and let this environmental catastrophe unfold?
