Having the waist be adjustable is familiar to anyone who has to deal with hormones, growing more humans or trying new medications and whatever... But what about the side seam allowing for your hips to change rotation, tilt and fullness? Sure, you can always slap on a gore, gusset or such, and unpick side seams and darts if you've been wise enough to leave extra there... But it would just be easier to make a style that you can adjust literally every single day.
It's interesting how this has been done in history, too.
