i would like to keep in touch with certain bands strictly so i can know when they are touring, and it occurs to me that this is very, very difficult now. everything is so **loaded** with shit now that no matter what you sign up for or what push notification you turn on or how carefully you set contact permissions, you are basically guaranteed a deluge in unrelated marketing garbage, probably to the point of missing the marketing notification that you truly actually want to receive.
