Three days ago I was down there with Michael and his best friend to check the sand bags. They seemed ok... I added more bags.. and we came home... Last night a storm came through and caused more flooding but I was sure their house was ok. I start school in a week and cant get down there as easy as I can in the summer.... I wanted to see if the sand bags held, add more and install outside cameras...The weather said clear until this evening... I left this morning with Martha, Michael and his best friend and drove there... This is where I made a mistake that almost cost me our life and I don't know if i can ever forgive myself
so we got there and my phone went off as did Michael's, Martha's and mine.. It was flood alerts.. I felt since the prior 10 plus floods did not come close to the house, that we would be ok... We got to the house, the sand bags held from yesterday. I thought to myself.. "good".... I would add another 100 and maybe this would be ok...
