Here's the thing: All WordPress installations I set up are static sites using caching plugins to render out the HTML and stuff. The benefit is that I can edit or write any post from anywhere using just a browser without any build steps and stuff. _That_ is the convenience I want. To quickly open a text field, write a few things, send, done. The rest is taken care of.
