FamilyMart Thailand shut down in 2023, converted to local brand Tops Daily by licensee Central Group, as 7-11 increased dominance. Meanwhile in Indonesia 7-11 shut down in 2017, losing to local outlets Indomaret and Alfamart, the latter of which has been a successful licensee of another konbini chain, Lawson, since 2011. The two local kombini giants (along with the Lawson outlets) control over 85% of the market.
