That's seems an unorthodox definition to me. Imagine you tell me to weed the garden, and you go off and drink a scotch while I do, in fact, weed the garden. You have exerted control over me, yes? But in what sense is my weeding and your scotch drinking a form of synchronisation?
However, accepting it as your definition of "control" as used in this post, there's nothing I particularly disagree with : )
