For the Atari, I used three unused bytes in the ATR header to specify a starting sector, and a number of consecutive sectors. If this header is detected at mount, it is a high score image.

If a write happens to these sectors, the FujiNet will re-mount the disk as read/write, write the sector, then re-mount read-only. Repeat for any consecutive sectors.

Then I wrote a series of scrapers in C which run on the same tnfs server, and read these disk images, and create web pages, and update in response to inotify modify notifications, making it real time.
