One interesting thing about this sword is the pommel. The shape of the pommel forces the wielder into a hammer style grip which is not conducive to maximizing reach with thrusts but is conducive to slashing draw cuts.
Here is a 3000 year old Bronze Age Sword that was found intact and still shiny in a grave in Denmark a couple of years ago.
I love the design, which is fairly typical of many of the remaining swords from that period. Or rather it is one typical style of several.
