Often, society becomes so boastful and egotistical about the advancements of modern society that we forget modern civilization is just a more technologically advanced iteration of what came before.
Traditions are just us humans remembering the good things we came up with in the past. It is the strong foundation for human civilization, just as classical architecture is a strong foundation to make a long standing and beautiful building.
