Most of the software (like bitcoin-core) are not `apt install`-able (though most of the dependencies are). I just finished building bitcoin (without the gui) on a Debian box I set up for building and testing. I plan to write a plugin or two for core-lighting. The Umbrel or Start9 options are the way to go if you just want a node in a few days and not fuss with weeks of building it. 🤠
