npub1jvrgz7wf9fwftcqppnpyjplltlkcuwghc0pqf9wv3x8ds5zq5t4qmh8tkt (npub1jvr…8tkt) Well, my school had this weird issue with people playing music CDs in the computers. They claimed that the CDDB lookup caused the network to slow down, the truth is that they were running malware that sent uncompressed video of every display to a server so teachers could see what you were doing. A really dumb idea, especially since the computer lab rooms were specifically designed with the computers radially installed around the room with the teachers desk on a platform so they could see every screen anyway. This is how computer surveillance worked when the rooms had Apple IIEs instead of PCs.

Anyway, remember U3 apps? I had a flash drive with U3 and Avast!. Avast would run before anything else would mount, gain admin somehow, and remove the school's malware. I also had evil player, a system tray music player and a few extremely compressed MP3s. Also, a copy of Firefox with the 56k compression utility that was popular at the time.

Wild how I was able to get through the coursework faster than everyone else, yet the "hard drive corruption" keeps disabling the malware. Wonder how that Happens? :neofox_evil_3c_2:
