Not the "maker" but I have and use an Explore Air 2. The hardware itself is OK but very locked into their software which is ... not good. It's basically online only, forces you to login to use it, and subject to whatever the company decides you can do with it.
You can do some of your own workflow by working in Inkscape and uploading SVGs.
If mine breaks I'm probably going to go with a Silhouette but they don't have anything equivalent to the Maker which has tempted me before.
