That's quite a proclamation, and I couldn't agree more 🙂 There's an excellent biography of him written by Amity Shales (if I remember correctly). He was perhaps the last citizen president we had.
Edit for clarification: The last president who was in the model of a citizen become politician in service of his country. Then again, maybe not, because you might be able to make that case for Hoover too, so I dunno 😀
Second edit: You know, now that I think about it, maybe that was Harry Truman.
