you'd also only want the setting to be exclusive to .i2p addresses as I2P doesn't have the concept of exit nodes, no way to connect to the wider internet through it
i don't know anything about android I2P implementations, but not sure SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy helps in the case of I2P, they tend to recommend using their own protocol (SAMv3) for connecting
as for integration, there's IIRC no library like Arti for Tor to integrate I2P into applications, so that would be difficult
