I don’t know if y’all are surprised by Elsevier letting an #LLM-generated paper through supposed peer review and publishing it without it ever going under the eyes of an editor, but I am not. Elsevier, having cornered the market on scientific and textbook publishing some time ago, sees their monopoly position as a license to print money. Why make an effort when that’s where you are?
