Jeremy Clarkson, hobby farmer, knew that if he farmed a small proportion of his land he wouldn't have to pay inheritance tax. He's annoyed now that the rules have changed slightly. Another tax loophole closed. He's not the only "hobby farmer" either...many rich Tories are squealing because that's what they've also been doingon their vast estates (and getting farming subsidies into the bargain). This is not about "family farms" as they'd have you believe, it's about very rich people avoiding tax.
