'Everyone is now talking about AI, but few have the faintest glimmer of what is about to hit'
Let's take a breath and remember AI in and of itself is neutral.
What's key is how humanity chooses to use it. It can be for nefarious purposes or for the greater good of all, and a number of choices iin between.
I'm asking, just who can we trust to steer where AI is taking humanity?
I certainly don't trust the competence of any Red or Blue government - Covid showed me how they were led by the nose by profit seeking Big Pharma.
Microsoft continues to be the largest investor in Open AI with ChatGPT and I certainly don't trust Bill Gates.
I don't trust Google with Gemini (ex-Bard), given their awful track record of Covid censorship on YouTube.
Rather than big tech companies controlling AI and raking in billions of profit, I prefer Open Source AI - where development is transparent, it's much easier to audit and there's a decentralised community accountability.
