Today’s auction item is something quite special!
A live Theobroma cacao seedling aka chocolate. This would have to be U.S. only shipping. This is a tropical tree but could be grown in a green house or nice sunny room if kept trimmed.
A unique characteristic of the Theobroma is it is "califlory", meaning it flowers from the branches or trunk. So keeping it trimmed would not keep it from flowering. It will grow large pods that will have 30-40 cocoa seeds, surrounded by a creamy film that is cocoa butter!
