Just like you can watch the shape of the Sun change during a solar eclipse with a pinhole camera, you can watch the sunrise!
These sun-silhouettes showing the sun just peeking above the horizon (upside down, because that's how pinhole cameras work) just appeared on my wall during sunrise. Everything here on the prairies is oriented exactly east-west-north-south, and we're close to the equinox, so the sunrise projects through natural tree-branch pinholes onto this east-facing wall. COOL.
