After yesterday’s announcement, if you’re thinking about setting up a Taproot Assets and/or Edge Node, here are all the instructions and resources...
Install Litd! Litd is of course one binary that includes lnd and taproot assets.
You can convert an LND node to a litd node → https://x.com/hmichellerose/status/1793038903164768728
You can use this set of bash scripts to set up a new litd node quickly and thoroughly → https://github.com/HannahMR/run-litd (Demo video: https://youtu.be/lopHP_nF0tE)
Litd now works on Signet! You’ll need to add a few settings to your lit.conf file to get it running on signet:
network=signet
pool-mode=disable
autopilot.disable=true
Or just run the scripts and they will take care of that for you.
We have some testing Signet nodes up and running that you can connect to:
leo (nprofile…ru4q) s Signet node: 03a57f2f6e654be579427b5c713842ccff9ca6de65e458cbd790cc89f2ec06eafe@170.75.165.5:9735
My Signet node:
020a79f04c9368eadb9a60a9c58cb939c81a5932d4e055726d319fe1a2ad03ad89@172.233.20.188:9735
Leo’s node is also a public universe that you can connect to:
$ tapcli universe federation add --universe_host http://universe.signet.laisee.org
My node is functioning as an Edge Node and you can test Edge Node functionality with me using a testing asset that we’ve named StableSigs.
Asset IDs:
dfb910df99d6e679d4193957d76d2b34a4f4b611bb4ab6950175db4f38280591
f477e00819e4ea0ec87e38a74c808e5ec24fc07ec84f4a6e7f2f1436e7ebe664
Ping me if you’d like me to send you some! But don’t forget that first you’ll need to connect to my node and sync with my universe. A command for doing that…
$ tapcli --tlscertpath ~/.lit/tls.cert --rpcserver=localhost:8443 --network=sigtnet universe sync --universe_host [host:port] --asset_id [asset ID]
Try ports 10029 or 8443.
If you want to run your own Edge Node, here are lots of resources...

When working with an edge node you may have decimal display questions, here is where to go to get answers → https://github.com/lightninglabs/taproot-assets/blob/main/docs/rfq-and-decimal-display.md
And if the RFQ math is giving you a headache, maybe use this calculator → https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JliJd9WfnW2cohrQjyHZf-5WFn97Q8TaSWjB4ZidF8k/
And as always, check out the docs → https://docs.lightning.engineering/lightning-network-tools/taproot-assetsand and let us know if you have any questions!
