But how do we fix it?
I think the problem is one of discoverability. Answers are simple and known, but once your search engine directs you to a monetized video platform the non-answers are incentivized and the quick-answers are buried.
If the search engines returned to their nominal task of retrieving answers rather than their actual task of producing ad revenue, we could fix this.
Is there a solution that sidesteps this problem?
