Loved "Glasshouse," the first Stross novel I read, so grabbed this one at random from the library. So far, not loving it. We're dealing with an alternate reality where, in the 20th - 21st centuries, medieval Germanic people inhabit an otherwise deserted North America. What the fuck happened to all the people, and why doesn't our heroine care about that?
