I wrote a little python “bank” as a shitpost because of some stupid shit the BSV crowd were crowing about. Used SQLite and was actually really disappointed to see I maxed out at 93 transactions per second (on 5 year old consumer desktop hardware…)
Simply enabling WAL mode brought me up to 435 transactions per second. ~4.7x for free (for a write-heavy totally bogus/fake workload)
