quoting nevent1q…h5p5As a winemaker, you might assume I drink all the time. 🍷
The truth is, alcohol is powerful, addictive, and demands balance. Early in my career, I had to confront my relationship with it head-on, and it wasn’t easy.
When I started my winery, I had almost zero experience. To learn fast, I had to TASTE a ton of wine. But that quickly turned into DRINKING a ton of wine. At first, it was just a glass after work. Then it became earlier and earlier in the day. It didn’t take an expert to see where this was headed.
One month into an intense period of winemaking, I found myself drinking instead of spitting at 8 AM tastings. By noon, I was pouring myself glasses “just because.” No one else knew what was happening, but I realized I was on a slippery slope.
One morning, I woke up craving alcohol. That’s when it finally clicked—I was at the beginning stages of addiction. Mixing unlimited access to wine with alcohol dependency was a recipe for disaster. I had to make a decisive change to protect my health, my craft, and my future.
Finding YOUR balance is key. For me, wine isn’t an escape—it’s a tool to enhance life. A good bottle can elevate a meal into a memorable experience. It’s best shared with people you love. Love and moderation make those moments all the sweeter.
Don’t learn the hard way like I did. Drink to enhance, not to escape. Make the moments you do drink special.
That’s why I craft natural wines that help you feel good during and after drinking.

I have a simple rule with alcohol: I only drink in company. 🍻
