Bittorrent is a static document transfer protocol which scales very nicely to meet demand. It is often vilified for being primarily used by pirates, & unfortunately by scaring others away thought became reality.

Over the next ~week I'll discuss implementing it in our hypothetical hardware-communicator!

And since we're talking about supporting Bittorrent in this OS, I'd be tempted to use it for software updates!

The UI would be exposed via the downloads status-icon I described yesterday.
